It’s not a dog!

Being a Pet Portrait artist, I usually get asked to paint people’s dogs. Being a huge dog lover myself, it is always a delight to talk to my clients about their beloved fur babies. Quite often I also get to meet the dogs themselves, which is always a joy.

I love painting dogs. They come in all different shapes and sizes and are always so expressive, but sometimes it’s nice to paint a different animal.

Our local Agricultural Show is coming to Bellingen on the 25th and 26th of May. I thought it would be fun to take my pet portrait market set up and have a stall. Of course being at a Show, I figured I needed more than just sample cat and dog portraits, so I painted a horse. – Thanks to for her fabulous reference pic.

The EJ Mantova Art Prize is also on exhibit at the Bellingen Show. My entry this year is this piece I’m calling, “Sunset on the Plateau”

As you can see, it isn’t a dog painting either, but aren’t those sweet bovine faces so adorable? If you are local and are going the the Bellingen Show, come say hello to me at my stall, and check out my cow painting and all the other wonderful art on display at the Mantova exhibition.

I’ll also be out and about on the 19th May at the RSPCA millian Paws walk , which looks to be a great way to support the RSPCA and have a fun day out with your dog. Be sure to go along.

The Made With Love Market is also coming up on Sunday 2nd June, so pop in and say hi.
